I train your dog for you, then teach you
I’ll design and implement your customized training plan, come to your home for training sessions, and head-out from there for field trips and practice out in the world. Then I’ll transfer your dog’s new professionally trained skills to you.
I coach you while you train your dog
I’ll create a customized training plan for your dog and your goals, then support you step-by-step either in-person or via easy online videoconference. We go at your pace and add difficulty as you acquire your new set of training skills.

We’ll tailor this program to meet your needs. People opting for this program may work on basic behaviors like sit/stay sitting, down/stay, stationing, dropping and leaving things, leash walking, or recall. We can also work on jumping and barking, mouthing, chewing, digging, barking, polite leash and in-home greetings.
Each week I’ll meet with your dog, either at your home or out in the world, depending on your dog’s progress. I’ll teach new solutions for old behaviors, and transfer progress to you in a fun, hands-on session at the end of each week, so you know how to get and maintain new behavior. Then we’ll use our two follow-up sessions to make sure everything is feeling good before we call it a wrap. Let’s relieve some of the stress of your dog’s unwanted behavior so you can relax and have more fun with your best friend.

Nothing gives me more pleasure than teaching my client’s dogs to behave. Whether in a training session or on a group walk, I seek every possibility to create positive learning opportunities. I am thrilled by the moment they get it, when you can see that light bulb switch on, when they understand good things are coming their way and they offer you their best behavior. Then doing the right thing becomes fun and training progress accelerates. Regardless of breed or age, I approach every dog with curiosity and respect. Because I’m passionate about getting the best results for both you and your dog, I look for the best in your best friend, and seek to combine the specific and unique ingredients that will help you live a stress-free, fulfilling life together.
Our Vizsla developed some unnerving and scary reactive behaviors on the trail when encountering other dogs. Thanks to Sara, we now have great tools to keep her focused and relaxed around other dogs she doesn’t know. It’s an incredible relief to have worked with Sara and our girl feels that way too!

Sara was wonderful and fun to work with and my dog loved her too! Her training methods are positive, loving, humane, and effective. After completing her four-week training program, I feel like I have all the right tools to work with my super high energy dog. My dog is so much calmer and relaxed and happier than before, and therefore, so am I!!
